This week we did PAT and star tests. Lucy got 11 points on class dojo. We made alley cats pictures because we read alley cats. We are making a photo story about the worm bins. Our resonsibility is the worm bins. Here is the song if you want to practice over the weekend.

Week 3- Anika and Preston
This week we read gint of ginger hill and did pargrahs and alex got 9 points on class dojo miss H is going to give a person 3 points on class dojo anika. This week miss H tourt us how to use the ipods. We had a visit from PT who spoke to us about money. He said you have to look after it. We learnt that Rand is African money. This week we went to the blessing of the Waharoa on the Junior Orchard. It was special because we were passing the Orchard to the new year 2s to look after.

Week 2- Phoebe & Beth
At reading time we did a book sell. We finished our summer art. We are now able to do a bar graph by ourselves! We have put our name tags onto our desks. Mrs Jones showed us how to make paper booklets. In Mandarin we made paper cut outs. We read Barney Malloon's Balloons and we looked for action verbs. In writing we are learning to plan our writing.

Skype with Suzie
On Wednesday morning Room 19 had a Skype chat with our classmate Suzie who is in Canada at the moment. We asked her lots of questions about the weather and what she has been up to. Sounds like it's pretty cold there but she got to make snowballs which sounds like fun!

Week 1- Phoebe and Beth
This week we drew Nikau palms for our Summer art. We looked at the art work of NZ artist Sarah.C. We made tags for our desks. We have this cool thing called Class Dojo where we can earn points for showing postitive behaviour. We have also been learning about bar graphs and tally charts in Statistics.
